@mopSo4 I understand. But my final setup consists only of the following items : A. Profinet Interface module ( 6ES7157-1AB00-0AB0) B. DI Module ( 6ES7143-5AH00-0BA0) C. AI Module ( 6ES7144-5KD00-0BA0) D. 24V dc power supply The Profinet interface module is connected to a Hilscher Profinet to Modbus RTU converter. The link to the converter is here : Net Tap 50 And my PC connects to the NetTap 50 via RS232 serial port to read the AI and DI sensor values as Modbus registers. If you can see in the above setup there is no Profinet controller like a PLC. In such a case how do i configure the AI module ? |

Page 21 of the AI card manual says that configuration is Profi task: "4.2 Parameters of the analog input module AI4xU/I/RTD4xM12 The table below lists the parameters that can be set. The effective range of the parameters that can be set depends on the type of configuration. The following configurations are possible: ● Distributed operation on PROFINET IO ● Distributed operation with PROFIBUS DP" Gotta get in there with Profi somehow . . .
