oldfalg Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	Hello: There are two power voltage supply in ET200eco pn, 1L+ and 2L+. the diagram is in attachement. 1L+ is Non-switched supply voltage ,and 2L+ is swithed supply vlotage. I want to know the meaning of "Non- switched and swithced". is it the button on power supply modulethatwe can switch the power on or off with button? best regard Attachment eco pn.JPG (85 Downloads)

It is better regulated than a standard power supply (only analog circuits used, condensors, diode bridge....) but produces a squarewave output that contains harmonics that can damage unfiltered circuits it powers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switched-mode_power_supply hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

PWStick Advanced Member Joined: 9/6/2006 Last visit: 6/1/2023 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello oldfalg, I think within the context of the distributed I/O systems, the term "Non-switched" supply refers to those devices with which you want to keep power in stop conditions (e.g. Emergency Stop) and "Switched" supply refers to the devices with which you want to remove power in a stop condition. For example, in certain situations you want to remove power from output devices to keep them from engergizing an actuator, while at the same time you want to keep power applied to sensors orindicatorlights.
