ET200M and Analog Inputs

lgray66 Regular Member Joined: 8/9/2011 Last visit: 9/27/2024 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hello, We're using an 153-1AA03-0XB0 with an DI (321-1BH02-0AA0), AO (332-5HF00-0AB0), and three AI (331-7KF02-0AB0, one configured for voltage, and two configured for type J TC), with a S7-300, and TIA Portal v11. I have think I have everything configured, and have no errors, I can also see the digital inputs, but all of my analog inputs are zero. Is there any special configuration or programming required to use the 331-7KF02-0AB0. Thanks, Larry

In other words, Temperature1 = IW296. I'm new to Profibus and the S7-300, I have used to S7-1200. I know when using Allen Bradley RIO, you have to use block transfers to get the analog inputs, I didn't think anyadditional programming was required when using TIA Portal? Thanks, Larry

If you in fact use address "IW 296" in your code you will attempt to read the AI value from the Process Image in that case get nothing (I wonder if your CPU diagnostic buffer would contain access error info though, but haven't really tried this with TIA Portal just yet). Anyway, please check the above and eitherchange your code to acccessPIW 296 (alternatively, add ":P" after theaddress which does the same) OR increase the Process Image of your 315 CPU (to be found in the "cycle" tab of the CPU properties). Below is a link with more info on this subject and while written for the "classic" Step 7 it is also applicable for TIA Portal Step 7. Where and when do you need peripheral addressing? I hope this helps
