et200s AI wire break detection

I never used diagnostic functions before and have now some question about it. I would like to have wire break information for Analog channel. I checked "Diagnostics:wire break" in "Parameters" of the AI module. But I am not sure what shell i do with it. Where can i get that information about wire break. I found that diagnostic code for this error is 6(D) but how to load diagnostic buffor? best regards

With this alarm you will get all the information that are available about it (moduladress, ...) Looking at your STEP 7 poject online you will get information about it too. Oscar_83PL Bronze Member Joined: 10/22/2008 Last visit: 9/22/2024 Posts: 369 Rating: (5)	1.Logical base address of the module where the fault occurred: OB82_MDL_ADDR So if there is a fault in module (HW diagnostic address 2041) the OB82_MDL_ADDR gives me that adress? 2. OB82_FLT_ID gives the type of fault? Do i have to reset somehow this faults? What if one after another alarm rise up? what that OB82 will do then?

When a wire break occurs with an AI you can check the value of the PIW where the input is conected. The values shown, normally are from 0 to 27648. If a wirebreak occurs you will see a Value of, if i rememeber well, 32767 or -32767. So you will easily know when the wire break occurs. I hope this comment helps. Regards.
