I'm after some clarification of the confuration control of the ET200SP using Step7 V5.5 with a CPU-319F.

I've studied the example provided for the ET200S ( but the example projects for the ET200SP are TIA portal only so I cannot refer to them (apart from the documentation).

Specific queries as follows:

(1) Is the Server module included in the config record sent? the document for the CPU-315 example (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/29430270/29430270_oh_et200sp_pn_doku_v10_en.pdf) shows that it is whereas the document for the CPU1500 example says it is not included (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/29430270/29430270_oh_s71500_appl_doku_v10_en.pdf).

(2) how do you select the values for the two version bytes in the header of the 196 message.

it is not really clear what you want. 

What ServicePack of Step7 5.5 do you have? Try to install the latest to get the ET200SP projected.

Service Pack 4 for STEP 7 V5.5 and STEP 7 Professional 2010

I did some projects with configuration control with S7-1500 and ET200SP in the past, with TIA Portal V13 SP1.

So, I suppose thing looks the same with STEP7 V5.5.

There is user data type UDT already configure for you.

You just have to select the one for the ET200SP.

You don't have to take care of the server module in the DB.

You just have to put a 0 in the structure where you want to disable a module and you put other number if you want to reconfigure the hardware configuration of your modules.

I am not sure to understand your second question.

I did not have to touch the to tags related to the version of the UDT.

When you select the UDT for the ET200SP, it is already configure to 2.0.

Version:

 1= ET 200S/ ET 200pro;  2= ET 200SP(CPU);  ;2.1 =ET200AL; 3= ET 200MP; 4 = S7-1500, 5 = S7-1200

 Version_sub:

 0 for all, but 1 for ET200AL

I would be glad to give you my program but it is 90MB!
