ET200SP PROFIsafe address assignment not possible for IM 155-6 PN/2 HF V4.2

Hi everyone!

I am using Step7 5.6, CPU416F-3 PN/DP, and  my HW library is up to date.

I can not assign PROFIsafe addresses  for fail-safe modules.

Seems this IM 155-6 PN/2 HF V4.2 might not be fully compatible with Step7, the pop-up menu with  "Name F addresses" does not appear.  

IM 155-6 PN/2 HF V4.2 is from GSDML-V2.34-Siemens-ET200SP-20190718.xml update. Latest version in standard library is IM 155-6 PN HF V3.3( with different order number from V4.2)

Can anyone confirm?

Is it worth to try to assign those PROFIsafe addresses in dummy project via TIA and then look if they fit with Step7?

hi Satrovskis,

you can not assign the Profisafe-Address in Step7 classic for Modules that are projected over GSD-file. Therefore you need to use the F-Configuration Tool (FCT).

● IM 155-6 PN ST as of V3.1
● IM 155-6 PN HF as of V3.1
● IM 155-6 PN/2 HF as of V4.2
● IM 155-6 PN/3 HF as of V4.2
● IM 155-6 PN HS as of V4.0
S7-FCT is required to calculate the F_iParCRC and addressing the F-I/O according to PROFIsafe address type 2.

Another thing that comes in my mind, before using FCT I changed HW and used another ET200 SP ST (from S7 standard library) , so that I can assign PROFISafe addresess and at least start up system and do commissioning. Because of that F-safe modules were no longer brand new, but I dont think it should affect FCT-tool.

I have had quite a similar problem with Tia V14 SP1 and IM 155-6 PN ST V4.1 and CPU 1518F-4. I was not able to identify Safety cards ... it always shows only message "Unassigned" and nothing more. Not possible to confirm ProfiSafe address. In documentation is only notice that for identifying has tu be module power supply available and latest HW downloaded (that i have had). I have tryed different GSDML FW versions and different Safety system versions without no succes.
Finally helped me to enable "USE IEC v2.2 Mode" (see picture)
