Hello,

I still have problems to get Modbus communication work.

I get error 8282 from FB640 at the first cycle and error 8189 (this error code is not in the manual..) from FB641 all the time.

Should I select Freeport (there is no Modbus option) from HW config? Manual does not say anything about HW settings. When I check example for 1500 PLC´s, there is option for Modbus in HW config.

I managed to get Freeport communaction work with some other devices with ASCII protocol (I have many PtP cards for different connections).

afaik you do not need the settings in the HWConfig because the FB640 overwrites them.

your error 8282 means module not available... do you have the correct address at the input?

Guess you have to double check your parameters at FB640. Have for the start a look in the applications.

I´m not sure what you mean with this diagnostic things.

In PtP cards HW settings there are diagnostic options: activate break detection, enable diagnostic interrupt and diagnostics missing supply voltage L+.

Here is my communication test FC (attachment).

COM_RST is set in OB100 for FB640 and FB641.

 Dear JuhaPK,

I am also facing same issue in ET200SP as (Modbus as Master). I did same as in FC1054. But ended us getting Error 7000 in both FB640 and FB641.

Please give some suggession or (if possible) can you attach PLC program?
