Hello, That's a 4 wire fastconnect cable which is specially designed for the FastConnect Connectors from Siemens. I won't recommend you to use the combination with a 9-Pole Sub-D connector. There for I rrecommens you to use a IE FC Outlet RJ45. There you easily connect your cable because of color coding. And from the female RJ45 you can use a Patch cable. See page 62 (2/30) in the IKPI 2009 Catalog for tested combination of cables and connectors. Catalog IKPI 2009 On page 68 you will find the mounting instructions of the IE FC RJ45 Connectors, those conenctors are color code and easy to connect. And from page 94 you can find the available patch cables and the cables you need to use in which situation. if you combine this correctly you have a very robust Industria Ethernet work. When you try to get a solution with not tested parts you could get in trouble because the connection are not as robust as they need to be. |
Best regards, |

Dear All We are also facing the same problem. The OSM what we have ordered is Industrial Ethernet OSM ITP62-LD and the model number is 6GK1 105-2AC10. The ethernet cable is of 4 wire fastconnect type. In the CP side we have used RJ 45 connector. In the OSM side there is 9-Pin Sub-D connector and we want to use the same cable to connect it. Please guide us in connecting the 4 wire fastconnect cable to the 9-Pin Sub-D connector in the OSM. Regards, Kanag |
