Ethernet communication between CPU 317 2PN/DP and CP343-1

jeme Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I'm trying an Erhernetcommunication between CPU 317-2 with CP 343-1and CPU 317 2PN/DP using ISO-on-TCP example that I download before from SIEMENS site, but I have not been successful, I only need to transfer 1 byte from one to the other PLC, there are some special tip that I have to considerate with CP343-1 (6GK7 343 1EX21 0XE0) or there are other easierway to do this communication.

How the connection is defined (have you test the online state if it's established?), which blocks you use and if it doesn't communicate, which error code is returned by the comm function? how come Posts: 382 Rating: (47)	Dear jeme, CP343-1 configuration should be pretty straight forward, either set to use MAC address or IP. Of course not to forget your setup in the netpro. If the above setting ensure without error, then i think you have to look into the programming block you use [e.g Put/get/AGsent/AGrev/etc]. and the number of bytes + the local partner ID you define correctly is also important. It would be better if you can post your project or system config. to the forum so that can have a better idea to see so thatwe can brain storm on you problem. hope this help. with regards, how come?

I already have comunication with NetPro, but I would like to do this communication without NetPro, in other application I have made communication between two CPU 317 2PN/DP but my trouble is whenI try to do communication with one CP317 2DP/PN an one CPU 317 with CP 343-. how come Posts: 382 Rating: (47)	Dear jeme, In your attachment of PLC1 & 2 I didn't able to see your Hardware configuration nd netpro config. Thus i do not know where you went wrong. However i have attach an example base on what you have describe earlier. Asonly one ofyour CPU317has CP343-1 thusyou can't establish ISO-on-TCP connection in the netpro.You need two CP343-1 one at each CPU317 then you can have ISO-On-TCP connection in netpro. As for your case you canuse S7-connection [see my example] Using S7-connection you can using some of the blocks to transferyour information i.e Bsend,Brcv,Get,Put,etc. Hope this link helps. How do you program communication blocks FB12 "BSEND" and FB13 "BRCV" for data exchange on the S7-300?
