The system consists of:

-- CPU 417-4 with Ethernet CP 443-1 which connected to Ethernet network;

-- Datalogic Powerscan PBT9500 2D-codes cordless (Bluetooth) scanner and its base station Datalogic BC9180-BT with Ethernet interface onboard. Base station is connected to the same range Ethernet network.

All connecting preparation have been done. Ping is ok. I can connect to base station by web-interface and check how 2D-codes put into buffer. This part is ok.

PLC network part is ok too. PLC exchanges data between other PLCs in this subnet. It works properly.

The question is: how can I get data from scanner to PLC. Now I'm trying to use AG_RECV and sending data to certain DB. I have adjusted connection in the PLC and base station, ports, etc.

But it doesn't work.

Do anybody have ideas? Thanks.

I would try it with Open Communication Blocks.

T_CON for establish a connection

T_SEND for Sending Data

T_RCV for Receiving Data

using AG blocks is fine.
Have you projected the connection in NetPRO at first?

Good day for all! Excuse me for long-time reply. Today I've found time to do something in this task.

I have fixed it. I cannot say exsactly where problem was hidden. But I've done again all the steps point-by-point, and got a working system. I will describe it briefly.

1. As I've told before, phisycal part was ok. Connections, ping, etc... I've checked again connection in NetPro, checked addresses and "active connection" tick, type of connection is "TCP Conn". Download it again to PLC. Now, when I try to activate connection status, I see green triangle on my connection in NetPro. By the way, it was before, when I publish my first post.

2. In  Datalogic part I've done some settings. Anyway it was before, but now it works :-) See attached screenshot.

It was my first experience with this type device, and that is what it is.
