Hi Experts ,

As per my project requirement , i have to capture the data from s7 -315-2 DP cpu via Ethernet . But unfortunately all 8 slots are occupied . There is no space to insert  CP-343-1 in main rack .

Is it possible if i put IM360-S in Main Rack(UR0) and IM 361-R in 1 st rack (UR 1) and put CP343-1 in 1st rack(UR 1) ? So that i can able to capture the process parameter on Business layer with the help of Kep server(OPC Server) .

I would like to know your inputs . Is there any other feasible solution available ?

I didn't understand who needs to capture data from cpu 315 ?! PC? another cpu (eventually third-party hw)?

CP343-1 Lean

• In combination with IM 360/361, CP 343-1 Lean can also be used in an expansion rack (ER). 

 Using CP343-1 Lean with IM 360 /361 will be approximitlly the same price comparing with using same CP with IM153 (-2BA02).

But you may save some cosiderable money if you still have chance to change CPU to (CPU 315-2PN/DP).

In this case, you won't need to add extra rack. You will save price of IM and CP.

I would like to know what is the difference between cp-343 lean or cp-343-1 ? I believe it might the limitation  for s7- send recieve . But for acessing data in OPC server will not be a big deal .

I think you´re right. There are some differences, but nothing related to OPC-Server-Communication.
