Ethernet connection missing on ONLINE ACCESS

William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1198)	..TIA BASIC V11 SP2 UPDATE 5.. Hi all. Under PROJECT VIEW selecting ONLINE ACCESS the ethernet connection point is not listed. Listed are S7USB, PC adapter MPI, PC internal, Teleservice. Also using the menu selection.. online > accessible devices. Type of PG/PC interface does NOT list PROFINET as an option. (Should / can devices be added for TIA software?) I have already investigated the hardware side of the ethernet connection. All Windows drivers seem to be in place and up to date. I have also MicroWin V4.0 SP9 installed on the same machine (64-bit). This Microwin also does not list the PC/PPI cable under the possible selections. No new communication devices can be added there. -- I think that is the origin of the problem, but I am not sure. Anyone with similar experience and with a possible construcive solution? Thank you. w

On my own laptop if I have the network ethernet disabled, I can still select the PROFINET protocol (PN/IE) under PC/PG interface. In my case the WiFi connection kicks in to make the connection. On the trouble PC not even the WiFi connection is available.. but the problem already starts with PC/PG interface that can not be set to PN/IE. - next step?

Has the online access ever worked on this laptop? Which Win7-64 version? I would urge you to post to Support Requestquickly to get in the queue as they may have a ready solution and with so many people asking this same kind of question lately, maybe a FAQ will get created. I have seen some related posts recently where people had step 7 installed then installed the portal and weird things happened. Saw where the order of install mattered. Saw where a microsoft office related product interfered with portal installation. Anything change since the last time it worked? Maybe try a system restore point prior to whatever changed recentlyif you cannot find a good resolution with anything else. I had a network problem on my win7-64 laptop that a system restore point got me back online once and saved a complete system rebuild.

The only solution was to "format the PC". Have luck. Tomy. Hello Tomy, I would say this can be solved definitely without a format of the OS. As it is time consuming to get things set after a format of OS. SR may come out with a suitable solution for this case.

Kwstasmx96 Member Joined: 6/7/2019 Last visit: 11/22/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	i was i step before the format of my laptop but i turned back the driver's then everything start working again Software Windows 11 when i was opened the online access only display hide was appeared and when i was pressing display i was get an error and TIA shut down By rolling back my driver's everything work fine
