Ethernet IP with non-siemens servo drives and I/O's

malbec Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Thanks. My system is a little different. I have a Siemens PLC and many servo drives which are all slaves in the Ethernet-IP network. Can I use one gateway unit to connect the PLC to all drives or do I need a gateway unit for each drive?

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello malbec, i don´t think, the configuration you explain in your last post will work. I think, you also need a controller in the Ethernet/IP network to control your devices. To connect the S7-300 with this controller, you use the special gateway. That´s the way i see it...
