Wazdakka Posts: 14 Rating: (1)	Hi, Theyre are six analog's that i am having a problem with, Each have H and HH alarms thatare displayed. The problem is that the operators are not noticing the alarms and they are critical occurences, so a popup screen or window is required to display thealarm over aprox 30-40% of the screen. Each analog must have adifferent popupfor the H or HH, so thats 12 in total What would be the best way to go about this? I've had a search through the FAQ's and the closest that i came to finding anything was that scripting in windows message boxes is a BAD idea. The Alarm notification popups are not to have any command buttons on them and are to be displayed ontop of whatever screen is being displayed an allOS'sthroughout the system(PCS7). Idealy having them moveable so that they are still displayed but allow access to the screen for control. TheAlarm popupsshould only "Dissapear" once the H or HH alarm condition has been removed. (Possibly some hysterisis required). Any suggestions about the easiest way to go about this would be greatly appriciated. Anything I try seems to conflict with the "Personality" of the system. Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, you could use picturewindows for this. toggle the visibility of these picturewindows with the bits that trigger the alarms. When you draw thepicturewindows on a layer higher then the rest of the visualisation screens they are on top. One of the properties of the picturewindow is "moveable" which allows you to move it :-) enough info? with regards, Ikkezelf

(About 400 screens and countingi think). Hi, I usually use 1 window for the background and a picture window to open the process screens. With that I only need 1 picture window to open the pop-up alarm window. This window will have an alarm object, and show the last 2 or 3 alarms. If you use several windows and the "open window" type of navigation then you could use a picture window in each process window. All these picture windows would show the exact same alarm window, with the same alarm control object. Best regards, Danielle
