Exchanging data between clients

Profimus Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hellow, I need to exchange data(internal tags and proccess tags) between two WinCC clients which are connected to each other by ethernet cabling. One client is connected with its PLC troo Profibus, the other client is connected with its PLC troo ethernet. I'm new to this kind of tasks and don't know what configurations I must do in WinCC. Also is this possible with the "standard" WinCC or am I going to have to use an extension package on both the clients? I would appreciate it if someone could give an outline of the configuration steps I must do in WinCC to get this data exchange going, some literature on this is also welcome. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi Profimus, The first thing you should confirm is, the WinCC stations that you call "clients" are indeed WinCC clients connected to a WinCC server or 2 standalone WinCC stations. If they are really WinCC clients connected to a server youneed not establish a communication between the clients. On the other hand if they are standalone stations (and I believe this to be the actual case) you should useOPC for data exchange since WinCC has a built-inOPC client/server.
