Exclude from prefix

bugmenot Posts: 31 Rating: (6)	Hi. I know I have seen a topic on this in the past, but I can't seem to find it again. Is there a way to exclude a tag from being prefixed? The problem: You see I have popups using tagprefix (which works fine), but since the engineering unit (kg, m3/h, ºC, etc.) is not stored in the tag I have to add them manualy. This I have done by setting the IOField in front of a TextField. The problem is that the same popup is used for several purposes. Example: AnalogSensor: sometimes I want the popups process value (PV) to display ºC and sometimes bar, mbar, barg, bara, etc. What I am trying to achieve: I want to have a hidden page (done) where I can write in the engineering unit (in a IOField) and click a button to write the input from the IOField to the TextField where the engineering unit is supposed to be. DOH... I just realized that this can not be done. I'll rather make a script that runs when the popup is displayed that looks at the Tag name and determins what kind of sensor it is. Still I would like to know if there is a way to exclude a tag from being prefixed bugmenot

When you edit the "AnalogObj" Add the attribute "Text"of that text field so it will appear in the property of the "AnalogObj". Suppose that your picture windows name is PopupPicWin and the popup picture name is "PopupScreen". Create an internal tag of string type called "Unit" Add the following script in the press left of the mouse (you should as well add the action "press left" while edditing the customized object): Sub OnLButtonDown(ByVal Item, ByVal Flags, ByVal x, ByVal y) Dim ObjScrWindow Set ObjScrWindow=ScreenItems("PopupPicWin") Dim ObjTag.Value=item.Text ObjTag.Write() objScrWindow.Visible=false objScrWindow.TagPrefix="yourprefix" objScrWindow.ScreenName="PopupScreen" objScrWindow.Visible=true End Sub in the Popup picture, asign the tag "unit to the measurement statictext. in that way when you click on your sensor the popup window will contain the unit of the sensor that you have written in the statictext "unit" during WinCC configuration. if you want to identify the sensor unit from the tag , then the tag should for example end with "PT" for pressure and "FT" for flow meter (m3/h). perform a comparison (in theclick action of the sensor)of the last two character and then change the internal tag "unit" accordingly. In WinCC Version less than V7.0, any tag included inside the picture window, will be affected by the tagprefix. regards, rami

bugmenot Posts: 31 Rating: (6)	Hi I'm not quit sure if I got everything you said, but wouldn't that require an internal tag for every popup/tagprefix/structuretag? That is probably the best way and the way I am going to be using next time. Bus for this project I have allready created all the tags and do not want to remove them again so that I would have to create new again! ~~I suppose I could make a hidden textfield in the parent window and get that text and set it as the engineering unit.~~ What I have done now is when the popup is loaded a script is reading the tagname (and yes it requires the tags to be named PT, FT, TT, etc). The only problem is when one sensor is supposed to show [bar] and another [mbar] etc. What I have done now is that I compare the tagname to a list and if the tag exists in that list it gets a spesific engineering unit (for example [mbar]). If the tagname does not exist in that list the script uses the first character to set the engieering unit (for example [bar]).

The popup picture windows should be open once at a time. In that case you need only one internal tag. Regards, rami

pesa2k Posts: 11 Rating: (1)	Hi Sydney, I am using WinCC V6.2 SP3. I tried using @NOP:: and @NOTP::, but it is not working for me. It is still applying the prefix. Is it possible to exclude the Tag prefix for the tags inside the function which is called within a popup? Thanks in advance.

"@NOSP" switches off the server prefix. "@NOP" switches off the tag prefix and the server prefix. ) Bye Murof
