Exending bandwidth (datalength) DP/DP gateway

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello readers, at our site we have an PLC network which is connected by DP/DP (6ES7-158-0AD01-0XA0) to another network. The length of the outputadresses of the DP/DP coupler have to beextended by 16 bytes. So I've put another object of of the library in the DP/DP coupler with 16 bytes. After save and compile I've downloaded the newhardware configuration to the PLC. Now the CPU says that the DP/DP coupleris not there. I think this has something to do with the GSD file which is missing. Do the GSD file have to be downloaded to the PLC again after compiling and downloading the changed hardware of the DP/DP coupler? Please see attachments. Best regards. Hello Rosegarden, It should not. You have increased both areas? 16 Bytes and 16 Bytein the other side? Must be perfectly the same. On the DP/DP coupler the LEDs as they are?

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello Ste39, thanks for the reply and help. The problem has been solved but only by memory resetting the PLCand reload original hard-/software. At a certain moment there was no connection possible by laptop to PLC. At first is seems to the PLCcould not find the DP/DP slave while it reported missing.Because the site isin 24/24 operation I did not have not much time to figure out the cause of the problem. So had to reload it to it's originalsettings.Normallyonlyaltering QW and IQlengths has to be done and the some thingat the other connectionside. I have to try again. Best regards
