Hi

I'm a student of KHLim in Belgium.

I am doing a thesis on Variotherm Injection moulding.

I have a Siemens S7-1200 PLC here which needs expanding.

It regards a S7-1212C CPU and a PM 1207 PSU.

All the In and Outputs on this CPU are taken, which requires me to get extra modules for my in and outputs.

I need atleast 2 AI, 1 AO, 2 DI and 2 DO. What cards can I use?

The problem is that I don't have any room for expansion in my current cabinet. Can I put extra modules in an other cabinet (which will be the cabinet for all the Variotherm control) and communicate with the CPU?

Since I wanted a fast answer I'm gonna try to put it here on the forum before emailing Siemens, since it is weekend

Can anyone of you help?

Do I need an extra PSU to power these expansions, since it requires 24V DC?
