Explanation of hydraulic and pneumatic braking done through drive

Earlier it was used in master and slave mode using some analog drives. Now I have replaced it with DCMs. 

The two motors in the one arm should work in proper sync . 

Please help me with that.

Have you studied earlier/old DC drive logic? or since two motors & drives are used so you are saying it as master & slave?

In general master & slave operation is applicable where there is an additional torque requirement from load with maintaining speed constant. In you application, since two arms are operated independently, its motion needs to be synchronise. 

However as deriered by you please refer Parallel or series connection of motors to understand DC motors connection in parallel or in series.
