I need to create an excel sheet that contains the HMI Tag configuration of every HMI Tag including the component elements of all the UDT's.

Of course it is simple to do this for HMI Tags that are not udt's. This is not my problem.

I need at minimum ...   Tag Name, Comment, Lower 2, Lower 1, Upper 1, Upper 2 &  Data Type for every HMITag including the UDT structure components.

WinCC Runtime Advanced, Version 16.0

Things I have tried ....

- Print the Complete Tag list and convert PDF to Excel - does not work, because the PDF report format is not convertable. Text values become completely jumbled.

- Using TIA Openness to Export the Data. - Export works and has all the data in XML. But I cannot find a complete schema. Excel import fails because the schema inferred by excel is incorrect and missing fields. The tag structure gets lost during the import to excel. 

Any other ideas, suggestions or tools would be very welcome.

What WinCC Version do you use ? WinCC Basic, Comfort/Advanced or WinCC Professional ?

In general, you can export for the Tag management (HMI Tags) with the export Button the tags as xlsx file

With the project documentation you can print also all tag information (Project -> Print)

Of course it is simple to export to excel the basic information for Simple datatypes using the button. But this is not my problem. This does not work for UDTs - the export does not include the information like range, Scaling etc or the Structure Components of the UDTs.

I need to be able to make a Complete tag list. Not a summary of UDT's

I already tried many times converting PDF printouts to Excel. It does not work because of the way the PDF file is constructed.

Have you that problem solved? Is there any way to export complete structure of UDT tag from WinCC Advanced?

Unfortunately Siemens Support say it is "not possible" and we have not found a work around yet.

So we have to copy /paste all the HMI tags by hand. It is a big problem for us.

Had this same issue today, i was able to get a solution (not the most elegant one, but it worked) that is , you expand all the tags from the different structures in your tag table, and then you can select all of them clicking that square in the table header, you copy the contents and then you paste them on your excel document.
