I'm trying to export process data from a WindowsCE based HMI (TP1500 comfort) to a folder on the server so that I can access it from my PC. And use  it for analytics etc.

-Using TIA-portal

How is this possible?

Hello!

I have tried without success. I have tried to build up the HMI screen with fields to write data and a VB script for a button that should write the data to my PC folder.

Here is the VB-script. I'm not sure if thats the right way to set the path or if you should do it another way.

And I'm trying to solve the task without using the HMI SD-card or USB. So that the process files could be saved at an time interval or with button push to the PC harddrive folder

Hi,

According to your script there should be an alarm if file cannot be opened. Can you open or create the file? Have you checked that you can access that PC folder from panel?

Your path is missing last /, it should be ...DataFiles/

The last / was missing yeah. And then I was running the TIA portal from a VM and trying to save the logs to a folder on the VM, and I think that was the problem. When I changed the folder path to the "main" laptop hardware it started working!
