export data into external file

jinga Posts: 26 Rating: (2)	hi everyone! I'm programming a software using S7-1200 CPU and TIA Portal V12. it reads the values from some temperature sensors and accordingly opens/closes some valves. I need to export a log of all the data from sensors into an external file (for example, a txt) but I haven't found out a way to do so... can someone help me? Thanks in advance Valeria

Thanks in advance Valeria If you enable the web server and set up data logging, you can log to a .csv file, and via a web browser download and reset the logged data file from the plc.

Thanks in advance Valeria Hi jinga, Have you checked out the function DataLogCreate,DataLogOpen,DataLogWrite, DatalogClose and DataLogNewFile? Are you using them? If you are... you can set the format of the created data log at the input of function DataLogCreate, setformal parameter FORMAT to 1 to create a log file in csv format. When exported to your computer, this filetype can be openedwith excel, notepad etc... I hope this helps. Kind regards, Jens
