Hi, where you define your OPC connection? in V11 itself? ... or in NCM for PC/ STEP 7 V5.x? Do you have tried to define your connetction in V11? There a option to integrate simbolic tag there and it is not necessary to import anything. Hello, I am sorry i am a bit new with OPC servers and connections, so please excuse me if i ask simple questions about it :) I am not using NCM for PC, that 's why I can't define my connection in V11. I want to use one of these two OPC servers below for connecting my plc to a scada software, Integraxor. I want to use TIA v11 for programming the PLC but for SCADA I cannot use WinCC because this is a thesis of mine and i need to use IntegraXOR for SCADA and a free opc server that is not a Siemens/Simatic for it. http://www.matrikonopc.com/opc-drivers/opc-siemens-s7-plc/base-driver-details.aspx So my questions about them are, do i need to define a connection in TIA to an outsider OPC server like Matrikon or Softing? Can't i program the plc in TIA, download the program to plc and then somehow export those tags and import them to the OPC server softwares (Matrikon opc server,Softing) that both have an option for importing s7p projects? |
