F-DI and several emergency stops

Hi,

I have question about F-DI module (SM1226 F-DI 16x24 VDC).

There are Vs1 and Vs2 supply outputs. These outputs are necessary when we want to check short circuit on input.

I have 12 emergency stops and i do not want to connect them in series. I am going to connect all emergency stops to individual inputs. So Can i use only one output (for example VS1) to all contactors? it means one side of all contactors will be connected to Vs1 and secound side will be connected to induwidual inputs F-DI a.0..a.7?

When i will do it i can recognize which emergency stop i pressed.

Hello Lukasz,

the maximum number of emergency stops at one module is depending of your evaluation.

e.g.

1oo1 - you have one contact at your emergency stop and can connect 16 pieces at the F-module

1oo2 - you have 2 contacts at your emergency stop and can connect maximum 8 pieces

At the 1oo2 you need both Vs1 and Vs2 so that you can detect a cross circuit.

The evaluation is depending at the risk analyzis (in Europe EN 12100).

Hello CaOd,

i have two contacts in my emergency stops, so i will use evaluation 1oo2.

It means that i can connect 8 emergency stops to one SM1226 F-DI 16x24 VDC.
