F8501 error on G120

last85 Advanced Member Joined: 3/13/2018 Last visit: 5/20/2022 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Hello to all. I have a problem. I have an S7-300 controller and two G120 drives connected to it via Profinet. The drive reference is sent via Profinet using the Siemens-352. The drives start and work fine from half a minute to minute, and then one by one they give an error F8501. Can anyone tell me what is happening and how to solve the problem? Thanks in advance.

One (or more) cables are faulty, so due to vibration or other things, they tend to disconnect. Check each cable, when everything is ok, move each cable and connector by hand to see if communication is failing (BF in PLC). CASE 2: Profinet packet traffic overload Very rare, check the parameter P 8840 (watch time of the communication board) and eventually increase it. But I really doubt that we are in this second case. Note: In this situation the potential failure was case 1.
