Hi experts!

I am using WinCC Professional V14 SP1 Update 7.

I have created a faceplate representing one motor drive. Inside this faceplate there is one graphics IO field representing motor status according to status tag in the interface. Graphics list is defined in the faceplate (internally).

Since this motor can have many forms (pump, blower, left, right, up, down, ...) I want to be able to dynamically assign graphics list to the graphics IO field when this faceplate is instantiated.

Whatever I try - I fail. Graphics IO field seems to lack any property that can be linked to the faceplate interface.

Is this ever possible or am I missing something important?

Any help is highly appreciated.

thank you for your effort. I actually want to avoid graphics list to be defined internally (inside faceplate). I want to choose external graphics list during faceplate instantiation.

Anyhow, this seems to be impossible.

I found a way to define an external graphic list while instantiating as you ask.

First, I'm doing this in TIA Portal v15.1 not sure which one is the earliest you can do this on.

Now, to accomplish this when you have your button or anything that supports graphic lists you can see in its Contained Object properties (On the left) one named Graphic List. You just have to drag it to the Faceplate properties (On the right) and it will automatically create a property with the type HMIObjectHandle.
So now you have this graphic list as a property, so every time you instantiate this faceplate you can select an external graphic list to show in your faceplate.

Thanks for your contribution. I've tried to get the same result on TIA V16, but no success. Graphics list property can only be forwarded to FP interface in WinCC Advanced.

Are you sure you did this in WinCC Professional?
