Dear All, I am facing an issue in PID Compact on CPU 1214 while using TIA V12. The issue is whenever the PLC is rebooting, the PID controller is not going to active mode, even though we give reset pulse to PID and same time forcing integer 3 to parameter of instance DB “sRET.i_Mode” when Auto mode is enable, still it’s staying on inactive mode only. Please find the attached project function block and tell me how to solve this issue. PID starts to work once we enable the Start PID compact button from commissioning window by manually. Thanks, John AttachmentPID.pdf (143 Downloads) |

There is an official suggestion regarding "How to prevent PID compact goes to inactive mode in case of PLC power cycle". Please, read the whole text and illustrative sample here:
How can you prevent the PID Compact controller of the S7-1200 from switching off when the controller is switched off and on again and in the case of invalid process values? More tips on PID compact can be found HERE. Provide Feeddback with snapshots of your test! I hope this discussion helps, Hamid Hosseini |
