HiB-gus; Do you mean by 2 processors a redundant configuration or 2 processors working separetly. If they are in redundant configuration you shoud go to S7-400FH. else, you can use the S7300 F.

Hello B-gus, There is substantially clrear difference for fail safe systems in Siemens. S7-Distributed safety- used for machine level application and consist of only S7-300 Cpus. programming langaugesare F-LAD or F-FBD and off-course F-DB whichare instantatious only. S7-F/FH systems- used for plant level application and consist of higher level CPUs of S7-300 and all S7-400 cpus including H-fault tolarunt systems. programmuing langauge is CFC. also related package for wincc flexi or wincc is also there for visualization. Hope this will further clear your concepts. |

DearRKM For Hot swapping you must use Bus Module Unit 6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0 for standard IO Modules
There is great difference between hot swapping and passivation and activation of the module. Simply, hot swapping feature enables you to remove a module from the middle of the rack without causing disturbance to the modules mounted after it.
"hot swapability" is not an alternative to "hot standby and high availability". You can have a hot swappable system without having "hot standby and high availability" system. |
