Hello, really not familiar with OPC internal flow of data but what exactly you mean with truncated? What you mean with not correct datra from 2 pictures (one sequence with next sequence)? I recommend maybe also think that system on PC and PLC can be different due Endian system but this is my quick idea. Again, this is PLC Forum and ask (show) some PC SW programming in some other languages can be without answers. What result is if you use standard OPC UA SW as Siemens define? |

Thanks for your reply Duris, By truncated, I mean it appears as though the data has been cut short. However, this isn't the problem because UAExpert is able to correctly decode the field of this structure: In summary, on the S7-1212:

I believe the firmware must be 4.4 or the OPC-UA would not work. That also means V16 of TIA Portal. There was a 4.4.1 firmware the last time I checked, and a V16 update available. Maybe one or both of those would help. Curious, what data size (total bytes per read) is being read remotely by the OPC client? Is it greater than the OPC limit? The limit is rather small if I recall correctly.

S7-1212 FW: V.4.4.0 Einstein, are you referring to the number of bytes in the OPC-UA layer of the packet as is highlighted here in Wireshark? I don't have enough information to answer your question. |
