My question is if Standard SIMATIC/SINUMERIK I/O (ET200M) can still be used and if it is compatible with the new machine directive? => yes you can use….but you need to see the system Software version…. => All standard SIMATIC ET 200M input/output modules that are used for safety–related inputs/outputs (SGE/SGA) may only be inserted in rack 1, 2 or 3 of theSINUMERIK NCU (i.e. not in racks of other SIMATIC–CPUs coupled for example via CPs – or similar)
=>All standard SIMATIC ET 200S input/output modules, that are used for safety–related inputs/outputs (SGE/SGA) may be distributed over a maximum of 3 interfacemodules. These interface modules must be directly connected to theSINUMERIK NCU via Profibus (i.e. it is not permissible to use repeaters orsimilar)
