fault (F7801) in Sinamics G120 VFD

Vinayak.Mestri Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hai Friends, I have an application of Conveyor running on a 20HP motor with Brake unit. I am facing the problem that the motor is running at the start upto 10-12 secs and immediately tripps automatically with the fault msg (F7801) and alarm msgs (A7409, A30016 & A5006) I need to know what are the sequences in which i should start the motor and Release the Brake at prasent I am releasing the brake with confirmation of Drive running signal from VFD to PLC and the brake is operated from PLC can someone help me out to diagnose these Fault & alarms Thanks Vinay

Soni Mukesh Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Dear, F07801 Drive: Motor overcurrentReaction: OFF2 (NONE, OFF1, OFF3)Acknowledge: IMMEDIATELYCause: The permissible motor limit current was exceeded.- effective current limit set too low.- current controller not correctly set.- U/f operation: Up ramp was set too short or the load is too high.- U/f operation: Short-circuit in the motor cable or ground fault.- U/f operation: Motor current does not match current of power unit.- Switch to rotating motor without flying restart function (p1200).Note:Limit current = 2 x minimum (p0640, 4 x p0305 x p0306) >= 2 x p0305 x p0306Remedy: - check the current limits (p0640).- vector control: Check the current controller (p1715, p1717).- U/f control: Check the current limiting controller (p1340 ... p1346).- increase the up ramp (p1120) or reduce the load.- check the motor and motor cables for short-circuit and ground fault.- check the motor for the star-delta configuration and rating plate parameterization.- check the power unit and motor combination.- Choose "flying restart" function (p1200) if switched to rotating motor. A07409 Drive: U/f control, current limiting controller activeReaction: NONEAcknowledge: NONECause: The current limiting controller of the U/f control was activated because the current limit was exceeded.Remedy: The alarm automatically disappears after one of the following measures:- increase current limit (p0640).- reduce the load.- slow down the ramp up to the setpoint speed. A30016 (N) Power unit: Load supply switched outReaction: NONEAcknowledge: NONECause: The DC link voltage is too low.Alarm value (r2124, interpret decimal):DC link voltage at the time of trip [0.1 V].Remedy: Under certain circumstances, the AC line supply is not switched on. A05006 (N) Power unit: Overtemperature thermal modelReaction: NONEAcknowledge: NONECause: The temperature difference between the chip and heat sink has exceeded the permissible limit value (blocksize power units only).Depending on p0290, an appropriate overload response is initiated.See also: r0037 (Power unit temperatures)Remedy: Not necessary.The alarm disappears automatically once the limit value is undershot.Note:If the alarm does not disappear automatically and the temperature continues to rise, this can result in fault F30024. Normaly a brake has a defined open and close time - so if you don´t want to run the drive against the brake you should start the movement of the drive after this release / close time of the brake.

Operating this brake from a PLC will be a problem and present uncertain operation, due to cycle time of the plc and brake coil reaction. Connect the brake coil via an interface relay, and configure the release using P1215. STARTER provides a good commissioning graphic for adjusting the release.
