Hello S5 Experts, I have the module 6ES5 955-3LC42 which all three Led fans are flashing, and the Led Alarm is lit. If I press the reset button Batt.+Fans go off all four Led but I do not know exactly how long they begin to flash. The ventilation on the cards is really good, the fans run all three, I've read the threads on this topiclikeproblem about fan alarms with S5 power supplyand I've done all the tests but nothing to do. What do you think? Does anyone have the model of the PTC inside to the fans (Maybe for change)? Or the problem could be someone else? The system function but not so nice to see them blink. Thanks to all |

Hello The reasons for sensing of Fan Fault is "Inadequate air flow". Following are the possible causes : a) Fan Not Rotating / Rotating at Slow Speed - Obviously this is not your problem b) Clogged Filter Mats ". - As per the Manual : If the filter mat is clogged and the power supply unit no longer receives sufficient air, the “Alarm” LED lights up, LEDs for “Fan 1,” “Fan 2” and “Fan 3” flash and the “Alarm” relay picks up. The fault can be cleared by replacing the filter mat Usually Cleaning / replacing the Mat or Cleaning the power supply including the air flow sensor, solves the problem. c) Faulty Sensor - Replace the Fan / Sensor - Don't have much clue regarding this. If you wish to replace the fans, then this FAQ may be of interest to you : Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |
