rusli_rusli Bronze Member Joined: 3/31/2009 Last visit: 7/16/2024 Posts: 191 Rating: (3)	Hii, i'm a bit confuse with the following program regarding FB244,FB245 program : segment : 1 C DB120 JU FB245 Name : RECEIVE SSNR : KY 0,0 A-NR : KY 0,0 ANZW : DW 20 ZTYP : KS DBNR : KY 0,0 ZANF : KF +0 ZLAE : KF +0 PAFE : FY 7 -------------------------------------- segment : 2 JU FB244 Name : SEND SSNR : KY 0,0 A-NR : KY 0,0 ANZW : DW 22 QTYP : KS DBNR : KY 0,0 QANF : KF +0 QLAE : KF +0 PAFE : FY7 according to manual ZTYP : destination type ZANF : destination start address ZLAE : amount of destination data QTYP : source type QANF : source start address QLAE : amount of source data my question is : 1. with QTYP/ZTYP : ks, what is the source/destination area.. aren't it should be like "KS DB" ? 2. QLAE/ZLAE : KF +0, does this mean the send/receive blok doesn't send/receive any data? br rusli

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 10/11/2024 Posts: 3024 Rating: (1054)	Hello rusli_rusli these type of calls of FB244 and FB245 are the "SEND ALL" and "RECEIVE ALL" calls which need to exist in the program on top of any "direct" Send and Receive calls. Have a look at chapter 11 of the S5-115U Programmable Controller manual for more on this and attached is also a pic from the relevant section. rusli_rusli Bronze Member Joined: 3/31/2009 Last visit: 7/16/2024 Posts: 191 Rating: (3)	Hii Fritz, thank you for your reply. i had one more thing to ask in the current s5 configuration on the cpu rack there's cp525 communicate with pc. operator set some setpoint on the pc, and plc will report current status to pc. with the configuration i assuming pc will send some data to plc i already check on the all of the s5 project file, and only found one calling of receive (receive all, no fetch) command. how do i know the destination area of the receive data ( from receive-all calling )? is it within DB120? br rusli

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 10/11/2024 Posts: 3024 Rating: (1054)	Hello rusli_rusli The best advise I can give you is to do more homework to determine and analyse the CP525's configuration (for which you need COM525)and theprotocol in use (e.g. RK512, 3964(R), special driver etc.). The following manuals will come in handy for this task: Manual for S5-CP525 / CP524 / COM525 SIMATIC S5 Special Driver for CP 524 / CP 525-2 (S5-DOS) OPEN DRIVER for Data Link to Host Systems Operating Instructions for Special Driver S5-R00E "STANDARD DATA LINK (RK512) with parameter assignment facility with 3964 / 3964R procedure" Analysingthe PC's configuration may give you clues too, but there's just too many possibility of the type of serial link and protocol in use that you really have to work out the configuration of the CP525.
