FC nest memory in S7-1500 PLC

I am using CPU 1516-3 PN/DP S7-1500 series.

 My question is  " How many FC's can i call in one single FC while doing Special Fuction progamming?

please have a look in the data sheet of you plc.

I.E. a 6ES7516-3AN00-0AB0 may have 6000 elements maximum (DB, FC, FB...).

One FC must be smaller than 512kB and you can use Numbers 0...65535.

In S7-300 there was an interleaving but I don´t know whether there is for S7-1500.

But 0 - 65535 are the maximum numbers of FC blocks we can use, but need how many FC blocks we can call in single FC.

is it within 0 - 65535 range?

adinival, So when you say nest? Are you referring to FC1 Call-> FC2 Call-> FC3 Call-> FC4 call... FC?.

This would be FC1 calling FC2 then Calling FC3 and so forth. I believe there is a limit in nesting calls. 8 sticks into my head for so reason.

But as far as how many FC can be called from and FC.

FC1 Call-> FC2 end

        Call-> FC2 end

       Call -> FC2 ....Multiple times one after another.

        Call -> FC3

        Call ->FC??..

I believe this is only bound by Logic memory and Data Memory in the PLC.

There is a specification for "nesting depth". That is where one FC calls another FC calls another FC .... A typical number for the CPU1511 is 24.

(for the CPU1511) A single FC should not have more than 150kB footprint. And up to 1999 FCs may be created (ID numbers between 1 and 65535).

Calling a single FC repeatedly within another code block is not a problem.

Actually i need to know the nesting depth. ie; how many different FC i can call in one FC

Example.

FC Block 1.

Network 1:

call fc 121

call fc 122

.

.

.

.

call fc 160.

?????

i think above cclling may not be ok. is it?
