FETCH/WRITE service in an S7-300/400 CPU via the integrated Ethernet interface???

Ahmed Ganainy Experienced Member Joined: 8/22/2009 Last visit: 6/5/2023 Posts: 41 Rating: (1)	My project consist of 2 cpu 315 2PN/DP 13 et200s(profinet) and 4 Hmi from schneider electric The manual of Hmi talk about availabilty of communication with siemens Tcp/ip and FETCH/WRITE service. i found that this service is availble block FB210/220 paragraph from siemens catalog: In today’s automation technology old systems are upgraded step by step from SIMATIC S5 to SIMATIC S7. However, the interfaces for the data exchange on the peer (for example, existing HMI systems) are to be kept. The FETCH/WRITE service is still very frequently used for the communication via Industrial Ethernet. The communication processors (CP343-1/CP443-1) of SIMATIC S7 support the services FETCH and WRITE for data exchange on the following protocols: • TCP • ISO-on-TCP • ISO transport so i have to use one of these protocols really i don't exactly the deferences but my question is : what about ET200Ss this configuration will affect them i think they work only with profinet IO not iso on tcp i don't exactly the solution really iam confused. i think someone can do me a favor and help me on this ?????

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (411)	Hello, I have to admit I am a bit confused by the situation you tell us. Do you really want to access the IO devices (ET200S) by the HMI systems? Usually a HMI System accesses the controller or DP masters but not the peripherals. With SIEMENS HMI Systems you also do not access the IO peripheral but the controllers. This way you only access the two CPU 315-2 PN/DP units. If you want to read values form the peripherals you use these within the controllers too, don't you. There you may read them also. The function blocks you mention also only run on CPUs. Please check the release list for these blocks to verify your CPU. Best regards J_Bell

Ahmed Ganainy Experienced Member Joined: 8/22/2009 Last visit: 6/5/2023 Posts: 41 Rating: (1)	with HMI (Shneider Electric) and siemens s5.we use fetch and write service as in this link [c Fetch and write service] my question can i use fetch and write service work on TCP Native and at the same time of using profinet IO . i have to use schneider HMI this is the problem and i also have et200s the link explain how to implement Fetch and write service on integerated profinet port of s7. so can i use profinet io too from the same port for et200s i used hardware configuration and used these FB for fetch service and also Et200s there are no problems appeared?
