Hello, In your configuration you also need a switch with 4 optical ports. With the modular switches X308-2M http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/40010896 or XR324 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/40011334 you can configure a switch that has 4 optical ports (or more with the XR324) |
Best regards |

Hello,
Well, you may also like to consider using PUT/GET function using S7-connection. Take a look at this link. Maybe it could be helpful to you. Sample program: S7 communication with the blocks SFB14 ("GET") and SFB15 ("PUT") with S7-400
What kind of noise are you facing? Are you referring to overshoot or dip in voltage and frequency when you start or stop the heavy loads? Well, I am not a PMS expert. As far as I can see during load sharing the spinning reserve has to be calculated to see whether it is enough before you permit the heavy loads to come in. I agreed that you need fast reponse so as to stabilizeto norminal voltage and frequency. May be this link can give you some help. Where can you find descriptions and examples of PID control with FB 41, FB 42 and FB 43, and SFB 41, SFB 42 and SFB 43?
As I can understand from your sketch you are connecting all S7-400to a switch.Have you consider ifthis switch is faulty? You will not be able to communicate to any S7-400. You maywant to consider using a ring network such as ethernet-fiber or profibus -fiber Which Industrial Ethernet switches can be operated as redundancy managers and which as standby managers in a ring? How do you set up a redundant optical ring with two OLMs and what LED display behavior is to be expected? SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS Optical Link Module OLM / P11 V4.0 OLM / P12 V4.0 OLM / G11 V4.0 OLM / G12 V4.0 OLM / G12-EEC V4.0 OLM / G11-1300 V4.0 OLM / G12-1300 V4.0 Operation manual Hope these are helpful to you. with regards, how come |
