FIND IEC_TIMER IN TIA PORTAL V11

RBT ries Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	Hello all, here's my problem: When a new timer is created as IEC timer and the timer is declared in a DB as IEC_Timer you can use this timer in your program. You can use xx.ST/xx.PT/xx.ET/xx.RU/xx.IN/xx.Q from this timer. You can cross reference every .ST/.PT/.ET/.RU/.IN/.Q from this timer. But it's not possible to go to the point where the timer is called in the program. Does anyone have suggestions about how to solve this issue? greetings

Does anyone have suggestions about how to solve this issue? greetings Others have said one work-around is to put a NO contact at the output of the timer with the .Q value. Then you can search for all use of timer.Q and you can find the timer.

RBT ries Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	Hi Vipz, youre right with regard of usage in the program but this is not a quick way to cross reference. Also this list is only available per FC/DB etc (select FC in the tree -> options-dependency structure). Then again you still have to search all items. So, the work around mentioned above is for me a better solution that will do the job for just a single variable. greetings

When I am declaring it in Static I didn't find TP Data type in the Drop down list.So ITyped Manually TP in the declaration table. and later I used this timer inmy program. But after compiling the Main OBI didn't get any errors. But while downloading its showing error as the Function block is not compiled and was getting Error at Timers TP data Type. So again I need to Type it manually TP as data type. and after compilation I found its working.. How to resolve this issue. And Also I am not able to use the Sematic Timers in Function block it says Data type mismatch
