Hello Experts, This is not one of the smartest question but I'm a newbie to S7 automation and so the question 1. Which modules have firmware numbers and need an update? (I do not want to know the procedure. As per my knowledge only CPUs, IM modules and CPs have firmware numbers) 2. What is the number crossed out by a X at the front bottom of I/O modules like SM321, SM331 ? (I believe it's the hardware version as these modules do not have firmware numbers, except for modules like IM153 and FM357.) 3. Please see the attachment. What's that firmware number mentioned in it? If that's a firmware number why can't I find a link to download the firmware update like I can see for the CPUs or IM153s. Hello, In general you could say that the inteligent modules have firmware, but not all can be updated, i.e. the s7-200 CPU's or your analog card To see if there are any updates for your modules, type the partnumber in the search field. Under the Tab Entries you will find the update, if there are any. Th X thing is the hardware version (E-stand); read more about that here:How can you determine the "E-Stand" (hardware release) of an operator panel? Regards, Marcjan |
