First Project (PLC & WINCC)

gonzela2006 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have done a simple project on SIMATIC STEP-7 300 SP5 as a beginning for WINCC V6.2 SP2. the simple project on this image: On Wincc I have make the objects Like this image I want to make the following : +first circle(FC) for start button +second circle(SC) for stop button +rounded rectangle(RR) for the output(lamp) +when I press on (FC) the lamp will operate and when I press on (SC) the limp will turn off So How can I connect/link my step7 programme with wincc to see the result??!! also I want to use PLCSIM for simulating PLC and WinCC for HMI applications??(I can only simulate PLC) Please help me Thanks For yor time

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 12/6/2024 Posts: 12301 Rating: (2691)	Hello gonzela; As this is your first WinCC project, I really recommend that you study the manual "WinCC v. 6-Getting Started": http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/17356933 It will get you through the most important steps in setting up a WinCC project, such as creating the project, setting up drivers, creating tags and assinging them to PLC addresses, preparing and animating screens.... You can easily adapt the example project to your own requirements once you understand the basics. And you can use PLCSim with WinCC projects; the following document shows you the setting you should do in Step 7, PLCSim and WinCC to get this setup working: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21914005 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, I can't explain with much details right now, but you'll have to remember: Configure the network on the PLC, and download to PLCsim. PLCsim v5.4 SP1 can have ethernet connection. For older versions it had to be MPI. Configure the proper communication in WinCC (System Parameters, IP or node, etc) Also... consider using DB's in S7.
