Dear TEBANCH, When you use Step 7, you will find the option PLC->Edit ethernet node Here you can find the PLC's on the ethernet, with MAC address etc. Perhaps you will find more information in this link: Tips and Tricks for loading and testing S7 programs See point 6 and 9
Perhaps you can use Dummy Module Here you will find some more information: how can you avoid diagnostics problems when implementing dummy module DM370? Best regards, Wizard |

Hi Tebanch, S7 PLCs with PN ports can actually be comissioned with just Ethernet, the easiest way is to do the following: 1- Make sure that your PG/PC interface is set to "TCP/IP (Auto)" for your correct ethernet card (the one connected to the PLC) 2- Go to HW Config, save and compile the hardware, then click download, when you get a window that has a "view" button down thebottom click on "view" 3- In the accessible nodes box you should seea PLC come upwithout an IP address, click on it then click OK 4-You should then see a window come up asking you if you want to assign your configuration IP address to the PLC, click OK 5-After the downloadyour PLC is configured with the IP address and you cannow communicated with it normally If you are using ET200S IO you can use reserve modules as "dummy" cards Have a look at this product: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21089169 |
