Floating point operations cycle time for optimized blocks

Hi

I've tried to find information about the cycle times used for floating-point operations when using optimized blocks. Are there at all any difference to standard blocks?

In Programming Guideline for S7-1200/1500 I only find statements that "Processing optimized blocks in the controller is considerably faster than for standard blocks."

And in SIMATIC S7-1500, ET 200SP, ET 200pro Cycle and response times the comparison doesn't specify operations on optimized data blocks.

I would like to think that the operations is faster when the data is optimized, have anyone found any information about this or can anyone maybe enlighten me on what I'm missing?

In the Guideline you have explanation given - 2.6.3. Processor-optimized data storage for S7-1500.

So in fact it's not that the optimized is faster but rather the unoptimized is slower . But this is all about data access. The operations are unnafected.

I.e. adding 2 reals takes exactly same time in both cases. BUT reading and writing data for this operation takes longer in unoptimized data storage.
