fuad mahrus Member Joined: 8/29/2013 Last visit: 7/2/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi Shahien, if you just want to display flowrate of your load cell. try to read the data from the load cell analog input, and then scale the analog input data of the load cell with the specifications of the load cell (range of your load cell). for example: the specifications of your load cell is 4mA for 0 Kg/H and 20mA for 100kg/H. so when the load cell output current is 4mA then the value of your load cells is 0 Kg/H and when the load cell output current is 20mA then the value of your load cells is 100 Kg/H. I hope there are other experts who can correct my reply. thanks

kriipc Silver Member Joined: 4/11/2011 Last visit: 10/7/2024 Posts: 132 Rating: (7)	First of all: - what kind of material (fluid, solid) - maximum weight of weighed material - maximum weight of tare and weighing platform (if used) - required accuracy in kg - sampling time (time between two measurements to calculate flow rate) If you have weighing platform: - what kind of weighing platform is used (one or four load cells) - sensing range (maximum) and sensitivity in mV/V of load cell(s) Do you have weighing electronics? - for 1200 is designed weighing module SIWAREX WP 231. Quite powerfull and very high accuracy. But you need software also (not freeware). - if you want cheaper solution, then you need load cell converter (for example this or this orfrom here) with analog output 4..20mA and S7 1200 analog signal module 4..20mA. Depends on reguired accuracy but i think SM1231 16bit is ok. Onboard 0..10V analog inputs are 10bit and not very suitable for this application.
	I'm just a human. Mistakes are allowed. Sorry for my english. Only 3 months of training and manuals :)

The money you will spend on hardware and application software is double earned back on the time you save with programming and engineering. SInce a load cell application also required periodically adjustment / calibration, this can also be configured in the siwarex module. Best Regards, SonicRanger.
