FM 351 positioning with 5 Volt assymetrical incremental encoder (A*,B*,Z) does not work :-(

Hello, I have a Siemens positioning card FM351 and 250mm assymetrical incremental linear encoder with 2 square optput signals A*, B* and the 5V power supply. I can not make it work, It looks like the FM351 modul does not support this type of encoder - Is it right ? - If yes, can you advice me some other encoder suitable for this modul ? Thank you very much for ANY help !!! J. |

OK, the manufacturer is GIVI Misure but they dont want to sell it as a part. i've been told, that have to order the whole reading head (700$). But the part I need is very simple, there is only one 0,5$ chip (DS34C87TM) so called line driver, so I am searching the internet for some alternatives. But till now cant find anything :-( ... maybe someone could help me ? PLEASE !!!!! Thanks, J. |
