FM 355C-PID Controller and PLCSIM

Pioneer Posts: 51 Rating: (4)	Hi Experts, I am trying to simulate PID action with FM 355C in S7-PLCSIM V 5.4+SP3 and using STEP 7 V5.4+SP4. I also installed FM355/455 PID Control package V6.1+SP1. I read the manual completely, but when tried to simulate, using FB31, there is no action. I mean no setpoint operation and no LMN outputoccurs.sois it possible to simulate this product with PLCSIM? is it supported in this version of PLCSIM? Ihaven'tbought the hardware yet, I want to test and then buy. Please help me if any idea is there? Regards,

There is no reason for the manufacturer to write down in the manual "this car can not fly". Same thing with PLCSIM. It is for simulation the PLC 300 and 400. It is NOT for simulation of FM and CP boards. So, my idea would be to check, IF there are (by any chance) some FM that are supported but NOT to ask, why a FM is NOT supported.

It's stated clearly that Function Modules (FMs) are not supported. SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM V5.4 incl. SP3 Hope this helps, Regards,
