RiRa Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi We have a FM 357-2 module with Order no. 6ES7357-4AH01-0AE0 . Do we need memory card with firmware licenses to use it? If yes, is it shipped seperately? Thanks.

UMENCHO Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 9/10/2024 Posts: 10228 Rating: (1181)	Hello RiRa, Look at In contrast to the previous FM 357, the system firmware is now supplied on a coded memory card which is inserted in the module and remains there during operation. There is no copy license ("runtime license") for the FM 357-2. This means that the system firmware must be ordered for each FM 357-2 hardware. The memory card can additionally be used to save user data for the replacement of a module without a programming device - the previous separate memory card is no longer needed.
