I would like to use a Courier type or other font in which the character spacing is constant so it is easy to align the text for each item. I do have Courier set as the font type within TIA Portal settings, but this apparently does not apply to the text lists.

I am referring to the display of the text list within the TIA Portal programming environment, not a field as viewed on the HMI device itself. I have several items within a text list that I would like align properly and it is much more difficult to do if the font type does not have identical spacing for all characters.

(Ever coded VBS in Windings? ) What you could do is to add a graphic list and ist elements with no text, then use the export-function. The path for the data export can be configured in the settings under "General > General > Data Exchange". You can open the .xlsx file (in Excel or similar) and use the font you want to use in the runtime to get the alignment right.
