Conditions encountered in the level measurement of solids like dust, rat-holing, and angles of repose can make continuous level measurement a real challenge. Technological advancements in radar in the past decade have propelled radar to the forefront of non-contact solids level measurement, but it's still a mystery to many people. Now you can download the electronic version of Siemens' 120 page book on applying radar in solids level measurement, Going the Distance – Solid Level Measurement with Radar, from a link on this page (Siemens USA level home web page): http://tinyurl.com/kcw66t9 Free is the right price; when this book was first introduced, the paper edition was sold for $60 (USD). It is an epub formatted book, not a pdf. A Google search found an epub reader application for Firefox, the browser I use, as well many others. If the US web page link expires, you can try this direct link: http://www.industry.usa.siemens.com/automation/us/en/process-instrumentation-and-analytics/process-instrumentation/level-measurement/continuous-radar/Documents/Going_the_Distance_Radar_for_Solids_Level.epub At 8Mb, it's too large to attach here for download. Enjoy. Dan |
