We are trying to upgrade communications of an Windows NT PC-based application that is working since 1999 in a customer plant.

The communication between Application/SAPI_S7 and PLC S7315 is supported on Profibus by a CP5613 on the PCstation.

We implemented the new configuration on Windows Vista with SIMATIC NET 2008 to preserve the old CP5613 and to operate on a OS still supported (for the moment) using NCM and NETPRO and porting the old parameters in the new environment.

I'm not sure about the values to assign to the Local and Remote TSAP. As it can be seen in the attachment, in the Windows NT config the values are 01.00 and 01.00. I'm not able to give the same addresses in the new configuration. I would keep the same values but the proposed min value are respectly 10 and 03.

How could I configure it ?

Should it be enough, in the current config mode (NCM/NetPro) to set the right values for RACK and SLOT keeping the TSAP computed values ?

PS: we are configuring the PC-STATION in lab, hence, during this fase, the PC-Station is not connected to the PLC of the plant

Yes, I finally was able to define the configuration.

I migrated to the following environment:

Windows Vista Business 32 bit

Simatic Manager 2008 version

Through NetPro I created the Station project with one CP5613 and one Application with a connection to a unknown device with a known profibus profile (address, speed and so on. For TSAP parameters I kept 0 and 0 for RACK and SLOT and the given default values (I read that for remote unknow devices the value 3 is provided).... then I tried and verified later on the plant that it worked).

I also tried to configure a second station importing previous generated XDB and everything was online in few minutes.

I recompiled my application with the released S732.dll in the SIMATIC Manager 2008 version and comunication with CPU315 was ok too.

In the next weeks we will try to set up a station with CP5613 A2, Windows 7 and Simatic Manager 8.2 SP".

I never set up versione V12 and I didn't now COML S7 is available again. I will try it in case CP5613 A2 is still available in this version.
