Hey everyone, I have designed an HMI on TIA Portal and wanted to test the visuals on the screen. I created an HMI OS on the portal to the SIMATIC HMI 2GB memory card and plugged it in to the panel. There I chose "Service Commissioning" and "OS Update" from the settings. I thought this would do the trick but nothing happened after the restart. Am I wrong to guess that I can install the software design to the panel through both the memory card and the profinet? I didn't try the profinet yet as I assume there will be some dns settings that I need to handle first. It is my first time using, well, any automation system to be honest so please forgive the rookieness of my questions. |

Ah, bad timing from my side. I just edited my comment. Here is the screenshot answer to your question. So, I have the fwf extensioned file in the memory card. |

I tried it both with system and data ports. It transferred the file but nothing happened. |

I think it is v13.0.1.4 on the panel (it says on the taskbar) but I am not sure how to determine the version on the card though. |

I have never done that and though it would be easier to do with the SD car. How can I download through TIA? |

Perhaps the following link might help: How can you transfer a WinCC (TIA Portal) configuration to an operator panel using Ethernet? |
