HristoAtanasov Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a problem controlling a furnace. As you know I have a inertia process. I used two comparators to control the heating. When the temperature reaches it's high level(610 degrees) it stops(that's ok). When the cooling reaches approximately 610 the problem occurs. The circuit closers start to go up and down with high intensity. Should I use PID compact or can I avoid this in some other way(probably using timer for slowing down the activation of the output, that will give time to cool down a little)? Thank you!

HristoAtanasov Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	I was just told that the PID won't do the job because I'm controlling the process only with on and off switching. Maybe the solution is to set the temperature for switching on lower than the temperature at which it turns off. Tomorrow I sould have the answer. I'll post the results. Best regards!

The only difference there (V11) isPID goes ininactive mode after every restart of the PLC. (Kindly provide v11 project and libraries for PID). But have possibilities to receive an errors durring migration...too.(S7-Basic V11 conversion problem). best regards, Hristo Mihalev

HristoAtanasov Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Thanks Hristo! The system works! Start up at 610 degrees stop at 620 and the problem is gone. In that case you have to import set and reset coils for the output! Otherwise it may cause some problems. If you use set and reset coils, the process doesn't start untill you set higher value for the off command. Best Regards!
